Once upon a time…
…there was another King (George) who had a very similar belief about unsophisticated country bumpkins. Those rabble-rousers (in Sail-By country?) ultimately “evolved” from subject-colonists to independent “Americans” (by means of a bloody conflict with that king’s Special Boys).
It was called The (First?) Revolutionary War for one simple reason: some things are worth fighting to the death for.

What did Jesus do when it came to Roman oppressors, Pharisaical oppressors, and Sword-Control? Do you think, in a forgotten unrecorded aside, He actually told those disciples to check with the local ruling bureaucrats on the Roman Sword Regulations for Non-Citizens before buying their swords? Surely He would have even advised them to, quick like dutifully meek sheep, register them after the sale and in the future to joyfully turn them in to those very same oppressors. Surely.
Or how ’bout even before telling them to arm themselves mightn’t He have surreptitiously asked around…just to make sure none of them had anything questionable – say, like red-flags – on their “permanent (government) records?”
No?
But, but, but…wouldn’t He have done so if super-worser even more-deadly firearms had been the Personal-Protection weapon of choice back then?
Um-m-m…I’m still believing that’d be a big fat, “No.”

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY…10 Gun-Lies, corrected (live-linked PDF)
On June 23rd, 2016, UK’s Sky News featured a “discussion” of Gun-control-post-Orlando, with author Jeffrey Robinson and Canada’s Rebel Media contributor, Lauren Southern.
I call this “debunking” of Robinson a passionate defense and hope it won’t be taken as armchair quarterbacking Lauren Southern. Watching the man lie with impunity and bombast over her, I could fight the urge to respond no more than a shark could ignore chum in the water (especially when I noticed more than once online, this interview had been titled, “Lauren Southern Owns Jeffrey Robinson in gun control debate,” or “Destruction of a Gun-control advocate,” or similar). But what Lauren DID succeed in doing? Well, that went way beyond my very short-fused pay-grade! By virtue of her calm cool refusal to sling back mud even as her attacker pelted her, she revealed over and over, in living HD color, Robinson the “intellectual” as just one more angry, bug-eyed, virulent yet vacuous, and, what will prove in the end to be a magnificently impotent voice for Gun-Control.

Did Liberty loving Texans just get their pooch screwed with #OpenCarry?
Many businesses in Texas seemed to take little notice of concealed-carry permittees over the years. Today, January 1st, 2016, it’s a different story.
A tyrant of sorts (Bloomberg? Everytown? Moms Demand Action? Fill-in-the-blank Against Guns?) has somehow awakened them to the “threat” that we personal-defense folks seemingly pose to them and their other clientele. With the chimes of New Year’s not yet faded, we wake to discover some of our favorite shops and theaters no longer welcome we the Free People, we the Citizen First-Responders. Not only have these places posted the new 30.07 Open-Carry Firearms’ Prohibition, but have added the 30.06 Concealed-Carry Firearms’ Prohibition where previously none was to be found.
It is a sad day when one thinks they are gaining a Freedom (clearly it is a “privilege” or it would have been there all along) only to witness a measure of earlier Freedom+Safety snatched away. The irony (and let’s hope it’s coming from merely naivete) is that those professing the desire to “protect” the innocent who frequent their businesses have now left them more vulnerable than ever.
